Anything new re: DNA?

Not yet but there’s more evidence for Kane than Ross Sullivan as Zodiac. So far. I was surprised by quite a few details but I should wait and give Morf and or Richard a chance to discuss.

Kane has been dumped upside down and shaken for years. Not that great a suspect if you are already familiar with him. I don't want to make it a 'Ross vs. Kane' contest, but Ross is connected to the RCC library where Zodiac's writing was found. Kane has never been linked there. Ross really looked just like the Zodiac sketch, but the photo that they showed of Kane, sorry, just not that close. LE has looked into Kane, just nothing there. Make no mistake, it's highly likely at the end of these 5 episodes, the case won't be solved, and no Suspect whether Ross or Kane, will be confirmed to be Zodiac

I would like to see geographic profiling utilized more, focusing on the behaviour of the Zodiac Killer, to first narrow down a hot zone of residence, then targeting that area for potential suspects, the vehicles they drove, their lifestyle, criminal records, photographs etc. Rather than chasing suspects up and down the country, without knowing where they resided during key Zodiac crimes. Also focusing on the periods Zodiac went quiet, say from March 71 to January 74- was he imprisoned and released during this period. Often you learn more from the things they didn't do, as opposed to the crimes we are now too familiar with. The series is interesting and I am enjoying their endeavour, although it's probably far more entertaining for the audience less familiar with the Zodiac Killer story.
The cipher 'solving' CARMEL is an interesting piece of kit, but attempting to solve a cipher (if genuine) will likely only decipher another load of gobbledygook, just like the meaningless ramblings of the 408. It certainly won't discover a name or anything productive, but I understand the quest for the unexplained. I think that we all know realistically, there is no buried bomb on or near Mount Diablo. This was the idle threats of a braggart. So, in essence, deciphering the 340 or searching for a phantom bomb that would be now 47 years old, will in no way advance the 'Hunt for the Zodiac Killer.' I agree with Mike, the show is worth viewing and may unearth some new information, particularly through the DNA analysis in Riverside, and privileged access, but it's all about entertainment and the chances of identifying the Zodiac Killer will in all likelihood be the same after episode 5, as it was at 10.00 pm on November 14th 2017.

Its ok to focus on a primary suspect BUT Rule one is keep an open mind, which I think pretty much everyone has done.
This show, as you say wont solve who z is, but the airplay might bring a few more people out of the woodwork who might help. maybe a distant Sullivan will hand over his DNA that will prove or disprove him, or someone might remember something important that will open a new line of enquiry.
cheers

Ya I think if they made any real progress it would have made national news when it was filming. They seem to be filling time searching for a bomb, and next a body.

The only thing that EP showed about Kane was he had code training and still looks like Henry the phone repairman on the show Alice, then he does to the Z sketch. Actually Peter Ohara was accused of being Z basically cause he had code training which proved to be bogus for him being Zodiac. I did get a kick out of the investigators saying we know Ross had code training. Why cause he may have read a code book in the past? I guess I qualify having code training cause I also read a book on it 20 years ago!
