Why are people, over and over again, using the 1st provided Oct 11, 1969 Zodiac sketch when there actually is a 2nd one avaible, which was actually emproved by the Stine murder witnesses, to make a sketch that was more accurate???

I just don“t understand that at all!

Here is the emproved 2nd Zodiac sketch published Oct 18, 1969, and beside it the alleged Foulke sketch.

IMO they seem to be very much alike and aprox the same age, I would say in his 40s.

The one on the left IS the amended one published on the wanted poster.

Fouke says he wasn't involved...so who the heck knows. Why he wouldn't have been remains a mystery...as does the composite on the right. :)

Thanks for posting that info. Either way, both sketches look pretty much like each other, and both look a lot like Ross

I only wish Ross wasn't looking up in that pic, and was looking straight forward, we would get a look side by side same head angle.

They all look like Ross, and there is probably a good reason for that.

But I still think there is some confusion. We have the 1st sketch, the one on the left, (10/13/69). TF is correct there is also an "emproved" version, however that is the one on the right (10/17/69).

The 3rd one, Morf posted, was shown in the 2007 "This is the Zodiac Speaking" Documentary. Drawn at some point before that.

The wanted Poster with versions 1 & 2 came out on 10/18/69

The Foulke memo, was written on 11/12/69. Doubt he would have input on the sketch before that.

The famous sketch we see most of the time has two slightly different versions, the one on the right clearly has a widow's peak hairline. If I am not mistaken, the one on the left was the original sketch in which Z was described as 25-35 yrs old, and the one on the right was amended with widow's peak hairline and age moved to 35-45

The biggest difference I see is in the eyes and ears.

When I look at all 3 sketches I don't see a "widow's peak". I see a receding hairline. A true widow's peak is low on the forehead and all of the drawings show the distinct beginning of the rounding of the scalp. I have always thought this. In the photo of Ross I do see a widow's peak, but I also see the beginning of a receding hairline. By 1969 Ross' hair could have receded as I am describing. Receding hairlines tend to add years to one's appearance. A 25-35 year old with a premature receding hairline could easily be mistaken for 35-45 years old. Especially at night from a distance. I have always thought this might account for the wide variance in age projections by witnesses.

Twist and turn it anyway you like! Ross don't fit the age.

That said maybe Zodiac used theater pancake make up to make him look older and who knows! He actually seems like one that would do that!

Same could be said about your POI RH not meeting the barrel chested and stocky profile
