And of course, SFPD ignored Gaikowski's. Some say it's because Gaik is a lousy suspect, but SFPD didn't take Mr. X seriously, either. In the meantime, no suspects publicly cleared on DNA since 2003...not pinning my hopes on them.
Edit: Lafferty says in his book that Maloney told him the "partial profile" was useless, which would explain everything.

Sounds like Riverside would look at DNA from a local suspect. They are very firm that the CJB's killer was a local person.
SF DNA can only exclude suspects.
