BTW, just as a point of fact:

The Tim Sullivan under consideration lived at 25 Baker St. That address is only about a block away from Darlene Ferrin's ex husband Jim Phillips, who lived at 973 Haight St (according to the Dave Peterson letter to Toschi: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s1/sh/dc ... 13ccd36d37)

(Google Maps)

Great work!

Do we know what Tim was up to around that time? Was he a student? And what college?

He's also close to USF and the Presentation theater, where The Mikado played in 1969. (Yellow Book pg 156)

Draft lottery was held on December 8th, 1969. So can we assume that Timothy left right away? How long after did they have to report for induction? I can't imagine he stuck around too long after that, since he would have been arrested. Might this explain the Melvin Belli letter of December 20th, 1969 when Zodiac seemed to be asking for help? After his brother left, he had nowhere else to go.

That was when he likely returned to Santa Cruz.

Also can't help but wonder if Tim left in part due to some incriminating connection to Ross' activities, if Ross was indeed Z.

I'm officially striking out with Bonnie. I tried calling her a couple of weeks ago and got no response. I didn't want to keep pushing, so I waited about a week. Then I contacted her again late last week and again nothing. I called earlier this week and left a message and nothing still. I don't want to harass her so we might have to come up with another plan.

Thanks for the attempts, Jeff. It is really appreciated. We can't force people to talk about what they don't want to talk about.

Jeff, thanks for trying. This is turning out to be very frustrating.

I had a feeling she'd be less than willing to help, given that her brothers were and she seems the type of person who is paranoid of outsiders. I wonder if there is another way to contact her and get her to listen to us? I don't want to just keep calling her over and over. Does anyone have an email address?

Have you considered contacting her co-authors and/or colleagues? For example: Dr. Roumiana Ilieva is an associate professor at the same university Bonnie worked for:

It is quite unusual for people who really know things to talk. Family members almost always stick together. With the Ted K. case, I think his brother didn't like him very much and that is the reason he turned him in. I watched the story about the Moors Murders. The mother of the woman involved in the murders didn't want the sister to testify against her other daughter. Most people who are in the know, really do not care about the victims of these serial killers. They just want to protect their families reputation and save their family members any grief. The police are typically not to be trusted, as people feel intimidated by these people. I know myself, that if I knew a friend or family member who killed people I would not tell a soul. I wouldn't want anybody to know I was associated with killers. Also, does anybody really like a tattletale?
