I'm going to reach out to people that likely knew and worked w/ Darlene Ferrin at Vallejo House of Pancakes and/or Terry's Waffle House in 1969-70. I invite people to help me find names in the 1969-70 Vallejo directory if you have ancestry.com
I previously found several people that worked there in those directories, and should have made a list but didn't. You can not really search by employer or by international house of pancakes, so it all must be done just going page by page. If we make a list of cooks, waiters, etc,we can contact them and see if anybody knew or remembers Ross.
So far,I found a Vivian Nenniger. She's dead. I found a Albert E. Mankins, alive & still in Vallejo!

Okay,I have at least 12 names that worked at Ihop or Terry's in Vallejo 69-70,so I have enough names that I can send out letters. However, they are all waitresses. I would love to get the name of cooks, bust boys,or dishwashers, so if you can find any of those names with those occupations, pm me or post them, thanks
EDIT: Found all the names i need

I just had a nice long(hour or so)conversation with Terry Jr(of Terry's restaurant) where Darlene Worked when she was killed. We talked about Leigh Allen, Lyndon Lafferty,George Bawart, and of course, Darlene Ferrin. I asked him about Ross Sullivan, and if he remembered him working at Terry's. He didn't remember him, but said he would look at a photo of him. He had hundreds of employees from the 60's 60's to the 80's, but was proud that he knew, and remembered most of his employees. It was really cool speaking with him. He also confirmed that the police looked into any stalkers at the restaurant that may have been stalking Darlene, but he didn't know of anybody.

This runs counter to the current narrative that "Ross was 300lbs, but wore it like 225lbs!" or the like. This only affirms that Ross's photos are misleading and he was noticeably obese.
The more we learn about Ross, the more I'm striking him off my Z suspects list. This one and the Santa Cruz affirmation are the final nails in the coffin in it, for me. I'm no longer in belief that Ross could have been Z.
Is there any way to determine when she made these observations about Ross' size? If it was 1969-70, it probably rules him out. If it was later, it could explain why the Z killings stopped, but letters continued to 1974. And of course Ross' death fits with everything Z related ending by 1977.

She knew Ross, as far as I know up until the mid 60's.,65-66
Ross's Friend Allan stated that Ross was 300lbs. Allan knew Ross up until about 1963. In Feb 1968, Ross was arrested for the phonebooth incident, and he was 300lbs. It's safe to say, if he was about 300lbs in 1963 & 1968, that he was about the same weight in 69-70. One thing to remember about Ross's weight, Allan said that Ross was solid, beefy fat,NOT rolly polly fat. In the pics we see of Ross in his 59 yearbook, he was about 300lbs. He doesn't look that heavy. Also, at Lake Berryessa, the police had the heaviest Cop,who weight about 210lbs, stand in the soil that Z stood in, and that cop did not sink down "nearly as much as Zodiac did". That's a quote from Napa investigators. They felt, that based on that clue, Z was much heavier then 210lbs. If they are right, that only strengthens the possibility that Ross could be Z

and another thing no one ever seems to consider. sometimes people
lose weight. i had a friend from high school that weighed almost
400 lbs. we are still friends 50 years later. he has gone on diets before
that saw him lose 100 lbs or more. and of course, he would gain it back.
maybe being institutionalized caused Ross to lose weight?

Pictures of some of those mental institution patients, often showed them to look thin, malnourished etc. On the other hand,I think some of the psych drugs may have caused weight gain. Until I see a pic of Ross in 69-70 that says otherwise,I will assume he was 300 as listed in the 1968 arrest article

I would be willing to bet that Ross was right around 300 lbs until around 1973 or 74 and then he started to gain more weight which probably was the cause for him going to live in an assisted living home. I bet he was up close to 400 lbs when he died.

Just spoke by phone to somebody that knew Ross circa 1970. Wow, some really good info which i will post about today. They gave me info that left me thinking Ross could be Z, and other info which makes me think,Ross may very well not have been Z. Again, I will post more shortly as time permits.
