I have no idea why people are so hung up about this since we don't have any definitive proof what the Zodiac's weight was one way or another. People getting hung up over, literally, nothing. They repeatedly hijack threads that have nothing to do with weight/height to say, for the thousandth time, that the height and weight doesn't match.

The best advice I have been given is ::::::
TO GO FORWAD--- YOU NEED TO GO BACK. Did he have a true autopsy, are there slides on file? A will preserved slide is the magic DNA token.

And if his HS weight exists, I'll find it in near where I am. But remember later in life, any form of antipsychotic is going to effect that.

But berating each other, I joined this board cause I thought it had more thought involved.

Not sure what the state would have, or keep,or for how long. All I know is, they do not have the coroner's report for Ross. That would list height,weight,distinguishing features,etc

I actually found what the old place was called back during the 70's a few months ago. I'm surprised morf's PI didn't get a name. I've lost the information but I surely can find it again, and I'll update this post once I do find it!

Found it! It was called "Michael's Guest Home". Here's one excerpt from newspapers.com

"I, the undersigned, Michael R. Pupanek do hereby certify: That I am transacting business in the State of California under the fictitious name and style of MICHAEL'S GUEST HOME; that the principal place of business is 2177 17th Avenue, Santa Cruz, California, and that my name in full and my place of residence is as follows: Michael Richard Pupanek, 3613 Portola Drive, Santa Cruz, California. In witness whereof, I have here- are hereby notified that on September 23, 1968, the assessment and diagram to pay the costs and expenses of said acquisitions and improve-"

It lists 2177 17th Ave and "Michaels Guest Home" above it. The text is misaligned but that's the nature of the output, you can see why that would have happened given the graphic of the newspaper in the link.


[double edit]: Disregard, it's called Live Oak Rest Home. I KNEW I saw that name before! I remember 100% now, that's the name of it when Ross died in 1977! Here's proof. This is a newspapers.com article dated 1978, one year after Ross died. Bolding mine to signify evidence:


"NOTICE TO CREDITORS OF INTENDED BULK TRANSFER Notice is hereby given to the Creditors of Asuncion Pan-libuton, doing business as Live Oak Rest Home, transferor, whose business address is 2177 17th Avenue, Santa Cruz, California 95060, County of Santa Cruz, that a bulk transfer is about to be made to John M. Morf check your emails, I located John M Beeson. The record I found includes the 17th Ave. address so I'm sure it's the right guy. With any luck Beeson might remember Ross.

Tony and Marie Hegel have both passed.

I took a closer look at this, went to the Santa Cruz County Recorder's office website and looked up the exact dates when Beeson and the Hegel's bought the rest home. They made the purchase after Ross died. It looks as if a person by the name of ASUNCION B PANLIBUTON owned the business in 1977 when Ross died. At least that is who Beeson and the Hegel's bought the business from in 1978.

Preceded in death by Higino Baguna, Gregorio and Gregory Panlibuton. Survived by children Annie Panlibuton-Barnes, Henry Panlibuton, grandchildren Matthew, Joseph, and Sarah Barnes, Nicholas and Oliver Panlibuton and great granddaughter Isabella Barnes. Funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, San Francisco on Friday December 30 at 10am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, CA. Good work Guys. The PI did find the previous owners of the rest home because she told me that the owner was Phillipino. Not sure what else we can learn but maybe a few clues to help

It has the name of her children and grandchildren. Maybe one of them kept her records from the time she owned the home.
