Also, think about this idea. Would the Zodiac go 41 years without some form of correspondence? Unless he went totally insane and died, a relatively short time after the 1974 letters.

Who's to say. If you look at possibilities, as far a suspects in the "out in the country" murders, the list is endless. The RCC murder of Ms. Bates, is a Clue, type of scenario . You have a finite number of people who could be suspects at this location. A sort of, Colonel Mustard in the parlor with the candlestick. An individual who was arrested for bring naked in a phone booth, etc., is certainly a viable suspect, to say the least.

Some evidence of intercourse between these individuals must be fostered. Somehow, somewhere, these two people crossed paths. That would solidify the theory that Jo Bates knew her assailent.

Personally, for me, I can't see Z if he was still alive, not coming out and breaking his silence mentioning the movies and books about himself. I don't buy that the Zodiac changed, was cured, etc. I think if he was alive,or not imprisoned, he would have broken his silence. I think he died after that last 1974 letter

But that doesn't mean nothing. And the reason it doesn't is the fact that this man must be nailed down. Somebody knows something about this guy, a neighbor, friend, co-worker, etc.

Take a look at this JTR doc, at 29 min in. They talk about how serial killers don't stop unless they are forced to by some other reason, like incarceration or death.

Only two examples are given and they don't go beyond stating that "some" serial killers stop killing. Of course some do.

Yes, they are examples. Of course some do stop and some don't stop. The myth is that "serial killers don't stop unless they are forced to..."
