Ross doing harm to others

Diagnosing and dissecting the Joann Bailey letter about Ross, and although this is 2nd hand info, it's powerful if true. "Doing harm to himself OR OTHERS". If true, this shoots a hole in his Brother's account of Ross being gentle, and not capable of harming anybody.

Maybe not right on topic, but I decided to post here since the quote is relevant and gave me an idea.

Perhaps there is more of a YMCA connection than we think. I think that drifters used to stay at YMCA's back then. Ross was in Hi-Y in high school. Sort of a youth men's Christian organization. There have been YMCAs in the Bay Area since like the late 1800's.

I wonder if the YMCA outlets would be the way that Ross could have been in Vallejo. A place to stay. I wonder where they were located, and if any were near crime scenes or close to victims, etc. Doubt if any YMCAs kept records of who stayed in them.

I know that people have looked at the YMCA as a possible place for clues, but I remain skeptical of that. Z would likely need a place to have privacy, to write his letters, his ciphers, to keep his guns, to keep Stine's belongings, etc. I just don't see a room at the YMCA as the best place to safely do that.

Yes, "if true" his brother's account would be false. We don't know if it is true or false. Futher, Joann's account is hearsay and we don't know the context of the conversation between Ross and the person he reportedly made the remark to.

You are correct, BUT, it it's true, and it's accurate, it's powerful when combined with everything else, and it would show that Ross might not be that 'harmless' Guy.

he sure didn't need a car to commit the Stine murder. it would seem possible
at that time he was staying at the Y and writing his letters at the library.
and you won't ever find records for that......and i like the idea earlier posted
that he knew Stine. now, if you could make that connection.

Yeah, you are right. I didn't think of that.

On doing harm to others and allegedly being a gently soul. He was arrested for confining a man in a telephone booth while naked in Santa Cruz. He was likely not completely harmless.

I wonder if Ross had a life insurance policy.. once you get signed up its hard to get out of the contract. Possibly gets angry and has a revenge attack. Rated not in order of dislike: car, encyclopedia, vacuum salesmen, bankers, tax man and of course life insurance salesmen. Or is it that poor Mr Paul Stine is unlucky in so many ways.. wrong place wrong time.. ..called to work, picked up a shit person.

I still think someone should contact that Davenport guy and ask him what Ross was like before his High School years.

I wish I could remember where I once heard that ANYONE is capable of murder at any time, given the right set of circumstances. It may have been in a class discussion or something on tv. I am starting to wonder about Joann Bailey. It sure sounds like she disliked Ross. How objective was this woman in her thinking?

I still wish someone would do more research into Cheri Jo's friends, especially the ones who knew her at the bank. Also her diary is something that has not been published to date and that might have some clues.

I think Ross Sullivan makes a good circumstantial candidate but he was reportedly cleared by LE. Wonder if any of Cheri's friends were asked about him in relation to her. Surely she'd have complained to someone about him if he was annoying her.
