Can I take this to mean that you've spoken with a member of his family and they're looking through his notes? If you don't mind me asking, did you talk to his wife and/or children? Does he have children who are aware of his work?

They did recently,but then haven't since.I need to follow up

That would be terrific. He likely had, at least at one point, Ross' transcripts and the 1968 police report from the arrest in Santa Cruz.

That's what I am hoping to see. Also, a reply from Toschi about Ross's prints would be great and greatest of all,would be that Dave had found evidence of Ross being in Vallejo

Dave was still looking into Ross in Dec 1978, a year after he died.

Dave didn't know his whereabouts. This would explain why the trail went cold on Ross.

This likely meant that Ross was difficult to locate in Santa Cruz after 1974. That"s too bad. I was hoping he actually spoke to Ross. I think there's much more available than this document dump suggests.
