It would be great if you could talk with them again. Good luck.
On edit: By the way, I contacted Gerald Katz and he told me that the police officer from Riverside never contacted him. So I doubt he ever contacted Bonnie either even though he asked for and I gave him the contact information for both. Another frustrating end.
I basically laid out the case against Ross and though he seemed interested at first, it wasn't apparently that compelling to him. He hasn't returned any of my messages since February.
Ridgway :He became a suspect in 1983 in the Green River killings. In 1984, Ridgway took and passed a polygraph test (quality control protocols later developed in the FBI after careful review determined that Ridgway actually failed his polygraph test)

Marshall wrote:Or, it could be that Ross did, in fact, have a tight alibi for the murder.
Recently an article was posted on these forums that stated, near the time of CJB's murder, that someone associated with Patton had confessed, but was later cleared. Well, that may have been Ross, and if he thought he (in whatever state of mind he may have been in at the time) thought he had done it, that could explain him writing the confession letters. CJB may have rejected him at some point too. He was known for writing disturbing poetry, and the desktop poem writing matches (we think) the confessions and later Z writing.
So... trying to tie Ross to the CJB murder might be a dead end and perhaps rightfully so. Tying him to the writings and the Z crimes is much harder but more to the point.
Can someone who lives out there just go through those yearbooks Ross is in, and ones from Riverside when he worked in the library, and systematically contact his classmates one by one, to learn anything that might be insignificant to them, but relevant to us? For example, did he have a nickname that could relate to "RH" (for instance, RedHead)? Who did he hang out with (highly significant if Cheri's killer is ever identified and that person was a close Ross associate.) Did Ross sign anyone's yearbook, thus giving us another example of his handwriting.
Can anyone attend class reunions to meet people who would've known Ross?
I know it's easy for me to sit here in Minnesota and ask if someone else can do all that work, but a systematic effort to contact everyone possible who knew Ross, starting with those who went to school with him, is the only way I can think to uncover some of the many puzzle pieces we're missing. And, of course, time is not an ally.

Dennis H, was CJB boyfriend at SFSU. The yellow book talks about how Cheri visited him before the murder. But the visit also lines up with the wedding, so it's possible Dennis has photos or a memory of meeting Ross at the wedding.
As for Riverside, I feel that the press there should at least know what we know about Ross. They might be able to twist RPD's arms since they are local.

I believe Zodiac researcher Howard Davis spoke to RPD (in the 1990's) and according to him "Ross had an alibi, a good one."
Anything is possible. Zodiac or not the CJB case remains unsolved. So, RPD might want to take a second look.

The worst thing that is going to happen will be this; on the 50th anniversary they will run a story about CJB and her murder. It will then talk about the possible Zodiac connection, then just like every lazy reporter has been doing, will bring up Earl Van Best.
We need to put a stop to that!
