Fouke sure took his time in giving his description. What was it, a month or so later after the teens description and artist renderring were presented. Fouke said the man he saw looked similar. Not very convincing. Also, there is no actual certainty that the man Zelms and Foukes saw was the killer of Stine.

Lets all just dance around any evidence and ignore all common sense.

Since this thread is about the interview,

What evidence?

Since this thread is about the interview,

You're right, my fault, I got off track.

The Guy Fouke saw was most likely Zodiac, he was wearing the same clothes as described by the kids, matched their description, and was heading from their corner. But like somebody just said, this is the Interview thread

Morf,

I was wondering, if Allen was at all familiar or ever followed the Zodiac case?

If not, it would be interesting if he watched the 2007 movie or at least read some of the letters. Something might jump out at him that would remind him of Ross.

Zodiac was a little crazy. Whatever mental defect he had, it was offset by his brazen audacity. Always look for the angle in any situation. He shoots a cabbie and walks up the street and the cops pull up next to him minutes later. He didn't make a run for it. Who has the nerve to do that? What I truly believe is, he planned on shooting the cops if they got out of that cruiser. There is no reason he would just just duck into a driveway and stop. He must have realized he could be caught right there. He couldn't conceal himself fast enough, but he tried to take cover in case he had to shoot it out with the cops. This guy knew what he was doing very well, I think. His whole point of being, was to be able to taunt the authorities. So many seriel killers rape, torture, and mutilate their victims. Sometimes they cannibalize the dead bodies. Zodiac did none of these things to any of these victims. He was just plain mean. I think he had an axe to grind with society. He may have felt he was disenfranchised from the main stream. These particulars are the reason the Zodiac is his own animal. He dosent fit any typical seriel killer patterns because he just seemed to want to do bad things to teach somebody a lesson, in his own deranged mind

That's what people said about Allen and many other suspects too. By saying some are ignoring common sense makes it sound like we are too ignorant to see it. I know you are excited about Ross, but let's not go the route of saying those who are offering a different point of view are ignoring common sense. Some get blinded and defensive when they are hot on a POI. I think it is very important to consider other reasons as to why some one might NOT be Zodiac, instead of all the reasons they are. Go back to before Ross and who was interesting then...and who will be the next guy who comes up?

It's good people are still looking and morf is doing a fine job of gathering information. I look forward to hearing more about this interview.

To be fair, I was referring to the police sketch, not Ross.
Four people saw a man in the immediate area of the Stine murder. In fact one of the teenagers ran downstairs to the street level window and got a very good look at Z. Fouke also saw a man that looked similar to the description the teens provided.

So the evidence would suggest that Zodiac probably looked like the description, heavy, crew cut, glasses.

Fouke sure took his time in giving his description. What was it, a month or so later after the teens description and artist renderring were presented. Fouke said the man he saw looked similar. Common sense tells us that the man Fouke saw was that same as the teenagers.

If we just make up whatever we want to about this case, then Z could have been an old man, black hair, skinny with a goatee. (someone really did try to sell this BS)
This is why we follow the evidence. Might not believe Fouke, but that is what he said. And the reality is, Zodiac probably looked like the sketch.

NOW:

Can I ask, did Allen see the Zodiac movie or follow the case way back when? Probably not...

My apologies...I think we all got off track with the conversation and I was assuming it was Ross you were referring to.

fouke posted his description a month after the stine killing, and had plenty of time to read tons about the case, including the description made by the boys. i'm not saying he consciously did anything wrong, but he certainly could have been unwittingly influenced by the sketch in trying to remember something from days or weeks earlier.
