It still could be as simple as the man in the booth told the police he was attacked by a naked man weighing 300 pounds. Then that's what made it in the report as well as the news story. Mug shots are taken next to a height measure, but never heard of the police putting someone on a scale.

Allen was described as 6 '1 and 241 lb in 1969 (from when he was interviewed in October).

Thank you and was going to mention about Allen and his height and weight that made me think he wasn't Z. 6'2 and 300 lbs is a little over the top no pun intended. Unless Ross lost 50 lbs or more in a few months which is possible but highly unlikely this is pointing to him not being Z. Still you have the height issue at 6'2 which obvious one can't change. Anyhow great suspect and still won't rule him out and thanks to all on the research on him.

Well, judging by that shirtless pic, Ross was built like a tank, so it would be helpful to know what he weighed in high school.

My bad and this arrest is from Feb of 68 so Ross would have more then enough time to lose a lot of weight till Zodiac was first eyewitness. Still though the 6'2 height is hard to get over.

I was arrested about a dozen times when I was young and stupid, and the cops never weighed me. Just sayin'

The 300 lbs may have been a bit exaggerated, but who knows. This does not rule Ross out for me.

Most likely he gained weight, not lost it.

He would have had over a year and a half until PH to loose a few pounds and would have if he was stuck mental institutions.
