Donations for Private Investigator?

I am toying with the idea of hiring a private investigator to look into Ross Sullivan as a suspect, and develop info about him from 1967-1977. I am consulting with somebody in the Santa Cruz area. I know that there are some people very interested in Ross Sullivan as a Zodiac suspect, and while I am hesitant to declare anybody as Zodiac, if I had to bet my house on it, I would say...Ross is our Man.
Too much to ignore.

*He is the only Z suspect EVER confirmed to be in that RCC Library.

*He and Cheri knew each other

*His own Brother thought he was Z

*His timeline matches Zodiac's if z was in Riverside in 66-67 and in the Bay area in time for 68

*The librarians were afraid of him. He had freaked them out with a creepy morbid poem, and then what links Zodiac to the RCC library? A creepy morbid poem on a desk.

*We found all of these things out before we ever knew what Ross looked like, then when we finally get pics of him, he is identical to zodiac, right down to the widow's peak.

Again, just too much stuff lines up.

Is anybody willing to make any donations for this venture? Anything at all would help. I am going to work with the investigator and hopefully get a good deal, but still think it may be too costly to do on my own. There needs to be info dug up on him between 1967 & 1977, and links verified between him and Vallejo, Napa, or SF.
Please let me know if you are interested, and we can plan from there. If you would rather discuss privately, please PM me.

Thanks!

I would donate to this. Odds are very strong that Ross was the Zodiac.

There is even a very important historical element to all this. If Ross was Z, and few really knew the guy, not much information would be able to be obtained say 20 years from now. He has a few living relatives and maybe the records that are not available to the public might hold the key to all this.

I would even be satisfied if the PI finds information that eliminates him as a suspect. Probably won't, but it would at least close the case on him.

The initial information I would want to see, if Ross had some connection to the Vallejo or Napa area. The Bay Area is a big place. I have lived here my whole life and without my fascination with the Zodiac case I would have never driven down LHR and I have never been to BRS. Sure he could have been passing through, not saying he lived there, but he had some connection to those areas.

You are right, I would like an answer with Ross, either to include him or exclude him as being zodiac. The issue is, he's got such a sketchy background. We know, according to the librarians letter, he went to US Santa Cruz in mid 67. We know he died in Santa Cruz in 1977. We know nothing about him in between. His brother got married in SF in 1966, 24 days before Cheri was killed. We also know his Brother moved, at some point, to Canada, and at some point, thought his Brother Ross, was Zodiac, but we have no details or explanations as to why he suspected him. His surviving Brother Jon, is not willing to help, even if to prove us wrong, and rule his Brother out as z.

Placing Ross in VALLEJO,NAPA,or SF is important. There is or was mention, on the net, that Ross lived in SF, but I dont know where I read it or if its true.

I'm in. I'll PM you this weekend, figure out what I can do. Ross is a solid option -- without some leg-work, not much is going to move forward.

Thanks for the offers of donations, it's much appreciated, and will be put to good use. I have consulted with two different Investigators, and hope to put a plan of attack together, and gather alot of info about Ross & his background

Not entirely true. We know he was alone (not around any family) for pretty much that whole time once his brother left for Minnesota. That's not much, but then maybe again it is. The real question is, did he have any friends at all? If no, makes him a better candidate. If yes, maybe a PI can get more answers. I like morf's idea of hiring a PI, and I wish I had some extra cash to pitch in.

Hey it's not always convenient for donations for this type of project. That's understood

I would love to donate, because I like Ross a lot as a POI, I'm just struggling to keep up with bills ever since my car took a dump on me. Do you have a timeline in mind for this? If you are still taking donations when tax time rolls around next year then I can pitch in.
