It could be that the search engine did pick up the younger Ross Sullivan and attribute his info to "our" Ross. I looked him up at Ancestry and the younger one was born Dec. 7, 1964 and does have past addresses in the Napa Valley. Also, his mother's maiden name was Ross, so it seems likely that he was named Ross for that reason. His father's name was John E, though!!

I think you are right Seagull,I am thinking it's for the younger guy.

Most of these background search sites use public records, and they go back for up to 40 years, Ross died, 36 almost 37 years ago, but all i seem to find is the one Santa Cruz hit for him

Making a list of SF Bay area mental hospitals,some are closed down now. I hope to see if we can get records for Ross,although I doubt we can. Anybody know of any others open in the 60's or 70's?

What happened to that information regarding Jon Sullivan? Did you ever get in touch with him? Was it the wrong guy?

I have now found that the Jonathan G Sullivan of Berkeley is indeed the correct person, that beeing the brother of Ross Sullivan.

I have a picture of him and he looks like a spitting image of Ross Sullivan.

I have his current address and phonenumber in case Morf, or whoever it is that is choosen to contact him, need it, as I understand it they already have it but in case they don´t, please contact me on PM.

I am inclined to believe RS at least can be put in riverside at RCC in a time frame that ties in with CJB..in the end though I am weary of how much or far this will pan out..hoping for the best and praying family of CJB can finally have some closure after all these years..RS looks good on paper is as far right now I am will to go-god speed

whoever makes contact at least try and find out if RS ended up anywhere near san fran and if possible explicit years he was there (if at all)...RS would fit as well in the D/E homicides as well especially if he graduated in 59..RS also seems to fit in the age range some believe Z was at time of CJB...i dunno..good luck

Tom V, pointed out he had a alibi, and even if it's true, that alibi for Cheri does not rule him out as being Z. If you believe Sherwood, then we know Z wrote the letters and desktop in Cheri's case. We do not know if he killed Cheri.

One more point about Ross...he was into poetry, writing,etc, even the Librarian knew of a dark poem he had written. that makes it seem more possible he could have authored the desktop poem.

We need more info & details on Ross, and writing samples

It's possible that the alibi was false. The police had zeroed in on the other guy pretty quick and I doubt they scrutinized Ross and the alibi very thoroughly.

the time line looks good for RS..i cant think of any other POI placed in riverside other than ALA..ALA was not attending or working at RCC so that makes the time line even tighter and RS even tighter as a POI..that being said i am still leery of RS..Morf do you have any idea what RS alibi was that he was ruled out?..

I don't know what the alibi was. Even if he did not kill heri, he still could have been the letter writer in her case,and also been Zodiac
