Zodiac DNA is not yet in GEDmatch, as far as we know.

Det Poyser is willing to accept DNA samples from relatives of suspects. The technical reasons of why, I do not know.

Even if you had suspect DNA at this point, the police crime labs don't have the ability to match to a cousin.

JeffP, Great work on all this. Thanks for continuing to dig!

It's been 50 years, if I had a dead uncle suspected of being Z, I would want to at least understand why.
That's the approach I have taken. Be respectful, and also let them know you are there to answer questions for them about why Ross is a suspect.

Tim seemed to be the one person from that family who was sold on Ross being Z.
The million dollar question would be, did he pass along any info the his son.
(His son must have heard something about Ross by now????)

Do you know where the farm was located?

Their hometown in Connecticut. I forget the name, it's here somewhere. Milford I think.

I've always wondered about LHR. We had 2 things going on out there, hunting with small arms, and sheep herding.

We now know Ross spent time on a hunting farm, and in Riverside lived with a herd of sheep.

One of them agreed to do it, yes. Ross' cousin who lives in FL and was a police officer. We contacted the Riverside Police Department and they didn't do anything. We contacted producers of the show and they didn't do anything. We even made contact with someone from (I think) Napa Police, they didn't do anything. I haven't spoken to them in a while. They were pretty mad when nothing happened after the show aired.

I have contact information for Timothy's surviving son, but am afraid of contacting him. I didn't finally speak to someone I thought might have been the Terry Kennedy who lived with Ross in 1967, he lived in California, was the right age and had some relationship with a woman named Cindy Kennedy. I was really hopeful, but it turned out not to be him.

Hello, I’m new to this forum so forgive me if I am posting incorrectly. I wanted to share something I stumbled upon regarding the Bates letters in Riverside. As we know, these letters written regarding the Cheri Jo Bates murder have been linked in possible connection to the zodiac killer. The letters are all signed “Z” at the bottom obviously, but the intentional stylist twist on “Z” made me just quickly research zodiac symbols. It appears that the top portion of the “Z” is the zodiac symbol for Leo. I know Ross Sullivan was born on 7/28/1941 making him a Leo. Out of curiosity, are there any other persons of interest born under the Leo zodiac sign in case this theory might have some weight to it? Thanks so much guys!

The Leo symbol represents a heartbeat, since the sign rules the heart. I personally think the "Z" at the bottom of the letter looks similar to theban or some wiccan alphabet. It's like a Z with a hook at the top. A "hooked Z" I would describe it.

I believe the "Z" started off as a Libra sign until the writer realized that it might link him to Ramona High, known as the Rams and thus reinforce his assertion in THE CONFESSION that Bates had spurned him "years earlier."

Just gonna drop here that there are YMCA addresses at the time very near several of the possible drop locations of the letters as surmised by excellent work from other zodiackillersite posters on this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4360

The addresses of the San Fran YMCA’s are on pdf pg 1516 at this link: https://archive.org/details/polkssanfra ... /page/1516

In that previous thread I also posted a reply with a link for the known mental health outpatient clinics at the time, some being overnight facilities, and they match up well with the postulated drop locations as well as some of the YMCA locations.
