My personal opinion, whoever Zodiac was, that was his real everyday writing. You can't write a letter several pages long and disguise your writing every step of the way.

There's nothing placing Ross in the Library the night of the murder as far as I know, but he did work there at the time. Here's a letter from one of the ladies who worked with him, pretty interesting.

I disagree. I know that's the opinion of a lot of handwriting experts but all I know from personal experience its pretty easy-ive done it no problem. But the zodiac was a creative person, codes, poetry etc, so that might have something to do with it.
plus he seemed to be a pretty cautious person, saying hed put glue on his fingertips, wearing disguises/costumes, wiping down the cab, saying he was going to disguise future murders--I just find it hard to believe someone like this, who definitely did not want to be caught, would carelessly write his letters in everyday hand.

Well, not just Sullivan, anybody.

As I recall library staff reported that Cheri jo was alone the night she was murdered. Nobody was seen with her anyway...

Yes, from all indications CJ was alone that night.

What morf meant by "placed in the RCC library" was that we know Ross worked there, not that he was there that night.

AFAIK no suspect has been confirmed to have been at the library that night.

Zodiac left survivors, witnesses, footprints, palmprints, writers palmprints, tire tracks, shell casings, and probably fingerprints.

All were avoidable except perhaps the tracks.

He also chose to reveal clues about himself in more than 18 letters.

He also chose to challenge the police and public to catch him.

I found a cool stat on the poetry question. So in 1967, according to a story in Inside Higher Education magazine, 17.2 percent of college students were Humanities majors of some sort. Not even necessarily English majors. Just humanities majors. So if all of them wrote poetry, you would expect to find, out of 80 college-educated people, 13.6 people who wrote poetry. And obviously not every Humanities major wrote poetry. (Nor are all the men in the diary necessarily college-educated).

So most likely we're under 10 pretty quickly, just by using poetry writing. Much less codes.

And judging by the desktop poem, Zodiac was actually a reasonably talented poet, I would say. As was Ross, presumably.

What other poetry besides that?
