Yes very good find. The envelopes are all caps. Flag stamps, of course.

I always thought Ted's handwriting was the best of any well-known POI that I've seen just at first glance. It would be nice to get an expert opinion on that.

Someday I hope Trav will make a full evaluation on Ted handwriting compared to Zodiac.

There is a lot of material available from Ted, he is a chronic writer.

His brother once said that while Ted could be shy and withdrawn in person, writing letters was the one way he was comfortable expressing himself.

To me and many others, Ted's writing looks more like Z than anyone else - the three stroke K, five stroke M, checkmark r, etc., etc.

I hope so too lol.

I am impressed by Ted's writing and the similarities. I have found a lot of other unrelated samples that are as valid in their impressiveness though so the shine has kinda worn off a lot of samples for me. That however is why everything has to be looked at to begin to separate the wheat from the chaff. I know Ted's writing looks really good and it does, I'm just not sure it's enough though. I think a certain amount of Z-blindness sets in with regards writing. We see things that we think are impressive but when weighed against the bulk of Zodiac's habits and character formation they don't really pan out.

Ted is going to be a big one though and as such deserves the time to do it justice. And TBH I know more now that I did when I started so it's a good thing that Ted has been left thus far. I say, hoping that's a good excuse lol. Sounds good to me but then I'm typing it.

AK I watched a clip of a documentary a couple of days ago, it was called Unibomb/Zodiac or something like that. If memory serves me, it was an episode of Unsolved Mysteries. Anyway, they did a fair presentation both for and against which I will assume you probably have watched yourself. One point that the detective brought up was that Ted K was the type of man who, almost to the point of obsessive compulsive, kept records, artefact's, photocopies or whatever it was, he always kept a detailed history of his previous exploits according to the Detective. He said when they searched his cabin they found so much evidence against him for the UniBomb crimes because he never threw anything away. The Detective said that there was absolutely nothing found in his cabin that would suggest he was Zodiac.

Obviously this doesn't mean Ted K wasn't Z, not by a long shot but I just wondered what opinion, if any, you have about that?

WC asked about nothing found in Ted's cabin to suggest he was Z.

Well its not true. Home made hoods were found, complex codes, .22 super x ammo, etc. Look at the thread in the Ted section about items from the cabin auction. I will bump it. Judge for yourself.

Most of Ted's journals have been partially released but the FBI continues to with hold Sept 1967 to June 1969.

In his journals detailing all the unabomber crimes, including three murders and putting a bomb on a plane, Ted says accounts of OTHER crimes are left out, because including them would be " dangerous, embarassing or just very bad public relations at this time".
