The town where I live (it's a small town) has a newspaper (it's a crappy newspaper) that runs a weekly poll. The latest poll was:

"Do you prefer dogs or cats as pets?"

The results were:

YES: 63 %
NO: 37 %

I'm not sure what to think about that.

Hahahaha!.

At least the numbers add up to 100. If I had to interpret or conceive of a way in which it made sense then I suppose it could be that the inferred question would actually be do you have a preference. So 63% of those asked did have a preference and 37% would be happy with either or both.

I may be ascribing too much to it though.

I wanted to add proof. Some often say "pictures or it didn't happen!" LOL. I've redacted the paper's name to avoid embarrassment to them :)

I thought that maybe 63 % preferred them as pets, and 37 % had them for dinner. Who knows, it's weird around here.

yes ... or it didn't happen lol. Some (one) did say.

I wonder how many years it will take before people start trying to 'rearrange' glurk to read gaik as proof of something or other. :P
