Le Mâitre Nageur..

..a french movie with Alain Delon (did Romy Schneider..).

A greek billionaire goes to a french village and pays one million franc to the guy who survives for the longest time inside his swimming pool. Available in French language plus one version in German only (at WDR TV). Great movie, all about characters and the depth of human personality..all starts with some funny splashing water on each other..

QT

Then there are the movies that not many people have heard of. A lot of these movies that are/were not well known are still better than most of the crap movies being made today. This thread is to honor these great movies!!

Some of my favorites...

Stone Cold (Brian Bosworth)
Moving (Richard Pryor) My favorite Pryor movie, but for some reason is an unknown movie.
Gleaming the Cube (Christian Slater)
Flight of the Navigator
Rad
Thrashin' (Josh Brolin) Awesome skateboard movie
Prayer of the Rollerboys (Corey Haim, RIP) One of Haim's movies that not many people have heard of.
The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (Andrew Dice Clay) Hello, hello!
Brainscan (Edward Furlong) Furlong goes inside of a video game and kills people. Pretty awesome!
Moving was pretty good and I liked when Richard gave them the wrong finger. I liked Stone Cold also but I was a Boz fan so that might have help. Just saw Boz 30 for 30 on Netflix about his life and anyone of a fan of his I recommended it.

Boz is awesome! "I gave the man the wrong finger. The index finger." Classic!!! "Your name is Arlo? That's a f-n funny name, you must laugh all the time."
Haha yep and seen Moving about three times but been some years but funny movie. Funny Farm is another good one with Chevy Chase! Again if you are a Boz fan and have access to Netlfix give Boz 30 for 30 a try! I was the fisrt one to get my hair cut like him in my high school back in the 80's Chics dig it1

You must mean age. Surely you are not decrying the quality of the films. That is beyond reproach. Anywho, I'll let you get back to watching your old vhs copy of 'On Golden Pond' ... probably. :P

Call me Ethel Thayer. :D

Seriously though...loved many 80's movies, but I'm more into the goofy stuff like Weird Science. "Give me the keys...."
