The second image (the card with two pix of Vallejo streets) pix were most likely taken in 1954, since the movie theater was showing "Rogue Cop," a 1954 movie. The top image on that card is Georgia street looking East, while the bottom image is Tennessee Street looking East.

The third image is Georgia St looking West toward the Marina Vista Development Project and Mare Island Straits.

The Travel Lodge card is postmarked Aug. 13, 1957. The reason there is an ink "X" on the far left top right is because the send put it there to let the card's recipient know which room the send and her family stayed in.

This is the Terry's where Darlene worked. The back of the card reads:

Terry's Waffle Shop and Cocktail Lounge, located in historic Solano County, between San Francisco and Sacramento on new Highway 40 Freeway.
Open 24 hours a day, featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner. Specializing in "Chicken in the Ruff."

Image

Drawing of the El Curtola Motel. You can see Terry's. The back of this postcard reads:

El Curtola Motel U.S. and 40 (1 mile No. of Carquinez Bridge) VALLEJO, CAL> Phone: 2-3911

A lovely, picturesque 23 unit motel with tile showers or tubs. Radios. Panel ray heat. Dining Room. Coffee Shop. Cocktail Lounge Adjoining.

This first one is a 1950's view, I believe, while the second is a 1960's view.

the back of the card it says "An aerial view of the modern Martinez-Benicia highway bridge. The arches of the older railroad bridge,
which is still in use, shows behind it. Mt. Diablo is in the background."
