I like the original Alien alot, pretty scary scenes.

I left out Dawn of the dead(original & remake),Day of the dead, and night of the living dead(original & remake)

My favorite Director of all time is John Carpenter.
I love his movies,The fog,The Thing, Big Trouble In Little China, They Live, and of course, halloween 1 & 2

GREAT movie. David Mamet is great, Glengarry contains what is quite possibly my favorite dialogue of all time. Such a great movie. The contrast between Lemmon and the other characters is incredible. "Funny and compellingly sad at the same time" is spot on.

The full movie is on You Tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghQr6KgC95Q

Interestingly, despite being a great movie, none of the characters is likeable - perhaps Al Pacino's has a certain charisma but none of them is nice.
