For me with out a doubt it is Killdozer or a copy-cat TV movie starring Chet Atkins ,is the one I remember most . I used to work on heavy equipment for a brief period- 8 months sounds silly but I dare you to watch those movies and then loiter around a D-9 Cat.
When I bought my property the previous owner had a D-9 stored behind my out building and payed a little to do that, after 6-7 months I said "get it out of here"

Since Glurk had me think about Race with The Devil which I recommend. Another movie from the 80's along those lines was called Spellbinder with Tim Daily from wings and about a Satanic cult. I also recommend it.

I will check it out. The remake didn't do it for me.
